Origin & meaning

Palo santo, meaning "holy wood," comes from a sacred tree native to the forests of Peru and Ecuador, traditionally harvested only after the wood has fallen naturally and rested for years before use. Used for centuries by shamans and healers throughout South America, its smoke has long been called upon to clear stagnant energy, purify sacred space, and invite peace after grief or hardship. Each bundle of four sticks is tied with silk, vegetable dyed, recycled ribbon, a small detail that honors the same intention of gentleness and sustainability the wood itself carries.
